Niphredil Posted May 14, 2012 Share Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) Une chose mdr on dit le désert du Sahara mais en arabe Sahara veut dire désert donc en gros c'est le désert du désert :ph34r: Sauf que, dans ce cas précis, Sahara est aussi un nom propre, donc on dit le Sahara "tout court", et non pas désert du Sahara (dit-on le pays de France ou tout simplement la France ?) D'un point de vue purement rhétorique, le désert du Sahara se rapproche du pléonasme. Sinon, Nil viendrait de la traduction, en grec, d'un mot égyptien signifiant delta, et le nom de Nil, tel que nous le connaissons, daterait de la dynastie des Ptolémées.
