XDA member Blades just released his kernel, which raises the bar on the OC to 1.504 GHz. This kernel has been tested over and over by the dev and claims that it is indeed quite stable. Some benchmarks yield over 63.3 MFLOPS on Linpack, and makes video playing really smooth. The first release however does cause lock ups, but the dev just released a new version, which offers more stability as well as more available RAM for applications. The dev accomplished this by slashing in half the amount of reserved ram, down to 128 MB from 256. It looks like despite the lack of availability of the device, it got to the hands of the right people as the real development is about to commence. So, if you are anxiously waiting for the 3.1 update to drop from ASUS, you will likely have it soon and running at blazing fast speeds. The dev also claims that once the kernel is stabilized more, he will start looking into 1.6 and 1.7 GHz, just because it can be done. Please leave some feedback for the dev in the form of logs, particularly if you suffer lock ups on your device. Its really unfortunate that this processor has so much variation regarding success at higher clocks. Tonight ill post several variations in CPU voltage. We’ll also try 1600 and then I’ll probably start adjusting for 1700. Flame proof suit, ice cubes, etc. Jk as I have said before, gtab does this at 1375mv.
