Benmars Posted April 22, 2010 Share Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Le firmware open est destiné aux TIM. Je ne m'engagerai pas sur le 3g+ (qui est tout de même une TIM à la base). Malgré tout, ce firmware agit au démarrage de la machine, avant le démarrage de l'aplli Archos puis de la surcouche sfr : ça devrait coller. Comme tout firmware, s'il n'est pas compatible, il ne s'installera pas. Special developer edition firmwarePlease note that the Special Developer Edition (SDE) firmware provided in this section consists of a proof-of-concept software intended for experienced software developers only. It is not to be considered a commercial grade release. The goal of this release is to open up the ARCHOS 5 and ARCHOS 7 Internet Media Tablets and provide a starting point for people interested in building native applications on a standard Linux base. Remarks: This SDE firmware does not contain any of the legacy ARCHOS multimedia software. It is based on the Ångström distribution (http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/) generated from a customized open embedded build (http://wiki.openembedded.net/index.php/Main_Page). The default user account is "test" with the password "test." The modifications applied on top of the Ångström distribution is available here. Important notices to be acknowledged before downloading and installing the SDE firmware: * Be aware that after installation, your device will loose the capability of playing DRM (digital rights management) protected content (e.g. videos that are present on the Archos Media Club). * It is possible to restore the ARCHOS back to a traditional firmware, but it will not be able to play DRM protected content anymore. This functionality will be lost forever when applying the SDE firmware. * Once the SDE firmware is installed on a device, this device will be watermarked and ARCHOS will be able to detect that this firmware has been installed once. * Installing the SDE firmware is considered by ARCHOS as a voiding of the warranty and ARCHOS declines all liability and responsibility for any issues resulting from the installation of this SDE firmware. * ARCHOS strongly advises that only experts in embedded software development should install this firmware. * This firmware is provided "as is" and is not supported by ARCHOS. The process for restoring the legacy ARCHOS firmware is done by accessing the recovery menu. The recovery is triggered by powering on the device while pressing the 'volume down' button. In order to install the new firmware, the "repair disk" option needs to be selected by navigating up and down the items with the 'volume up' and 'volume down' buttons and then executing the selection with a short press on the power button. Once in this mode, the device can be connected to a PC and will act as a mass storage device where the legacy .aos firmware file can be uploaded. S'agissant de l'archos 5 3G+ l'installation d'un firmware open est-elle envisageable? Si oui, la 3G reste t'elle opérationnelle? Quelqu'un a t'il fait dfes tests? En vous remerciant pour votre aide. Cela bloque les firmwares alternatifs, SFR ne proposant pas de firmware SDE un topic à été créer sur le forum SFR pour en demander un. Le tout est également réversible, mais entraîne la perte de quelques fonctionnalités sur l'archos (pdf, applis flash, tv par site web). Tout ce que j'arrive à savoir c'est "on a un OS !" et voir faire joujou avec ces OS mais concrètement, rien. Ça doit être archi-secret, car le SDE de la TIM date quand même ! doko Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 Bah : - Angstrom : distribution linux - E17 distribution linux - Archos 1.7.11 : c'est le dernier firmware que archos ait sorti pour le Arhcos 5 Autant les 2 premiers sont là pour faire joujou principalement (et encore, vu que c'est du linux, tu dois pouvoir ajouter un player HD libre), pour le dernier par contre, tu as le dernier firmware archos, donc sans les bugs...
